As a native of Quang Binh province, considered the "epicenter of floods" in Central Vietnam, Ms. Le Thuong, President of the Vietnamese Association in Kansai, expressed her sympathy and shared grief over the losses and suffering of the people in the northern provinces caused by the storms and floods. In the face of such heavy damage, each Vietnamese expatriate living and working in Kansai has joined hands to mobilize, donate, and contribute to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, hoping to contribute their heartfelt support to help their compatriots overcome difficulties.

Receiving the acts of kindness from the Vietnamese community in Kansai and various organizations and businesses, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung affirmed that, during this difficult period, the tradition of solidarity, mutual support, and compassion is most clearly demonstrated not only by people in Vietnam but also by the Vietnamese community abroad, who always stand together and look towards their homeland. Whether working, studying, or doing business overseas, overseas Vietnamese always wholeheartedly turn their attention to their homeland, contributing resources alongside the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to help their compatriots overcome difficulties.
According to Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung, Typhoon No. 3 directly hit Vietnam, causing significant damage to the northern provinces. Following the typhoon, prolonged heavy rain across most of the northern region continued to cause serious damage to people and property. The initial estimated total economic damage is over 81,500 billion VND. Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in recent days, many agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals both domestically and internationally have joined forces to support local authorities in providing timely assistance with food, essential supplies, and helping people restore production, rebuild houses, and repair roads and schools.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung pledged that the donated funds would be used by the Central Relief Campaign Committee for the intended purpose, in accordance with requirements and publicly, and in compliance with the law; and that the funds would be allocated promptly, transparently, and to the right people and addresses in localities affected by Typhoon No. 3.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the affection shown by the Vietnamese community in Kansai and various organizations and businesses, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung hoped that the Vietnamese community abroad in general, and the Vietnamese community in Kansai in particular, would always remain united, develop together, and continue to engage in meaningful activities directed towards their homeland.
On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received a donation of 625.3 million VND from the Ngo Family Association of Vietnam.
