Previously, in the month of March 2024, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) successfully won the auction of the C2 frequency block (3700MHz - 3800MHz) for 5G. Winning the auction of the C2 frequency block is very important, allowing VNPT to have many options for network equipment, the most reasonable cost of deploying the 5G network, meeting the strategy of deploying the highest speed 5G network in Vietnam, providing customers with super-speed and multi-application 5G experiences.
VNPT Group said that after being officially licensed, the Group has deployed the installation of infrastructure and VinaPhone 5G transmission stations nationwide. Currently, many provinces and cities across the country have VinaPhone 5G waves.

According to the plan, by the end of 2024, VNPT will complete the installation of over 3.000 VinaPhone 5G transmission stations to ensure strong, stable and continuous coverage, especially in urban areas and major economic centers nationwide.
VNPT Group said that VinaPhone 5G has an access speed 10 times faster than 4G and minimizes latency, allowing users to enjoy smooth video viewing, lag-free online gaming, and use smart applications with the highest performance. VinaPhone 5G also opens up opportunities to bring many automation applications, automatic monitoring/control, and smart management to businesses, factories, seaports, medical applications, remote education, etc. in Vietnam.
In particular, from October 13, 2024 to November 15, 2024, VinaPhone customers who already have a 5G phone will be able to participate in the free super-fast 5G experience program (50GB of Data, used within 30 days). When operating in areas with 5G signal, VinaPhone subscribers will receive a notification message inviting them to experience the free service.
In addition, to welcome VinaPhone 5G, from now until the end of the month November 2024 VinaPhone will organize a series of music events "Sound Freedom by VinaPhone" in the provinces: Thanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Gia Lai, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Ca Mau.
It is known that according to the measurement results of the i-Speed Internet access speed measurement system by the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) under the Ministry of Information and Communications, in August and September 2024 month, VinaPhone continuously led in Internet speed and was the network operator with the fastest mobile Internet speed in Vietnam./.
