This is the first official visit to Vietnam. Prime minister China Li Qiang in new position. 

Welcoming the Chinese Prime Minister and his delegation at the airport were: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Permanent Deputy Minister Foreign Office Nguyen Minh Vu; leaders of several departments and offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The high-level Chinese delegation included: Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao; Deputy Minister in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei; Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong; Director General of the General Administration of International Cooperation and Development Luo Zhaohui; Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission Liu Sushe; and Chief of the Prime Minister's Office Kang Xuping.

The visit takes place at a very special time for Vietnam-China relations, right when the two sides are looking forward to celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. diplomatic, as well as immediately after important visits by senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries.

During the visit, Prime Minister Li Qiang is expected to have important talks and meetings with General Secretary, President To Lam, Prime minister Goverment Pham Minh Chinh, Chairperson Congress Tran Thanh Man.

The two sides' senior leaders will discuss in depth measures to continue effectively implementing the common perceptions reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, further consolidating political trust.

The two Prime Ministers will focus on discussing specific measures to actively promote the expansion and improvement of the effectiveness and quality of cooperation areas, deepening substantive cooperation, achieving many practical results, and bringing benefits to the people of the two countries.

During a recent meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Vietnam consistently considers developing relations with China an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a top priority in Vietnam's overall foreign policy.

The Prime Minister suggested that China pay attention to promoting cooperation in building standard gauge railways connecting the two countries, continue to open the market for Vietnamese agricultural products, and soon implement large-scale investment projects that represent China's development level in Vietnam.
