He sees this as the only way to end the two conflicts between Israel and Hamas and Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has responded by launching rockets deep into Israeli territory.
“We have reaffirmed the need for a ceasefire, which is necessary both in Gaza and Lebanon,” Macron stressed. “This is urgent to protect hostages and innocent civilians, and to avoid the risk of a wider conflict in the region.”
Mr. Macron said that stopping arms exports is the only way to end this situation.
Last week, Macron also called for a halt to arms supplies in the Gaza conflict as part of efforts to find a political solution, which Prime minister Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu said it would only help Iran and its allies.
France is not a major arms supplier to Israel, with equipment value military exported last year was around 30 million euros, according to the annual report of Department of Defense France on arms exports.
