Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA) announced a series of advanced AI (artificial intelligence) features that enhance its Aurora Machine Vision software to deliver deep learning capabilities for complex visual inspection scenarios.
Zebra's Aurora software suite with deep learning tools provides powerful visual inspection solutions for machine builders, engineers, programmers, and data scientists in the automotive, electronics, semiconductor, food and beverage, and packaging industries.
The suite features code-free deep learning-powered optical character recognition (OCR), a drag-and-drop environment, and extensive libraries, allowing users to create solutions to tackle complex cases that traditional rule-based systems struggle with.
Users of Zebra's Aurora Design Assistant integrated development environment can create applications by building and configuring flowcharts instead of writing traditional program code. The software also allows users to design web-based human-machine interfaces (HMIs) for applications.
The software now comes with deep learning object detection and the latest version of the companion app Aurora Imaging Copilot with a dedicated workspace for training deep learning models for object detection.
Separate add-ons are also available to train deep learning models using NVIDIA GPU cards and run deep learning models to perform inference or prediction on NVIDIA GPUs and Intel integrated GPUs.
