In Dien Bien province - the place that marked the Dien Bien battle that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world", the project "Love Vietnam" has installed NFC chip panels at 3 locations: Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, A1 hill (Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city) and Dien Bien Phu Campaign Headquarters Relic Site (in Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien Phu city).

When visiting the above 3 locations, visitors only need to use a smartphone with internet connection and turn on the NFC feature (on supported models), then bring the phone close to the information board as instructed, then immediately, the visitor's phone screen will display a link leading to the project's website.

On this website, visitors can easily find out detailed information and historical significance of the destination; record the presence of other visitors and know how many people they are who have checked in at the destination. Along with that, visitors can also freely post personal photos with messages and feelings about the place they are sending to the program.

As a regular visitor to historical sites, Ms. Mai Hai Yen (26 years old, Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district) was very excited to experience the NFC chip board installed by Nhan Dan Newspaper at the A1 hill relic site.

Ms. Hai Yen said: When accessing the website "Love Vietnam" I learned more information about the destination and saw beautiful photos posted by other tourists.

Ms. Hai Yen said she will return to A1 hill in May, when the royal poinciana flowers are in full bloom, to capture the image of two royal poinciana trees blooming brightly in the sky.

As a tourist from Son La visiting the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum on an afternoon in late March 2025, Quang Van Thoat (35 years old, Bon Phang commune, Thuan Chau district, Son La province) was very excited to hear that the Museum had a board with an NFC chip with rich information data of the destination.

Mr. Quang Van Thoat said: "Through the NFC chip board of the "Love Vietnam" project, it has helped tourists from far away like me easily find more information about really useful destinations."

A particularly interesting thing is that when visitors visit the website of the project "Love Vietnam" all the images and messages contributed by users from all over the country will be collected and combined into a unique digital map of Vietnam, expressing love and national pride. This makes many tourists visiting 3 places in Dien Bien extremely excited and enthusiastic.

The project "Love Vietnam" implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper is a practical action towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

By applying near-field communication (NFC) technology, the project is widely deployed in provinces and cities across the country, bringing a new way of interacting with cultural and historical sites.
