Requirement to apply digitalization in gasoline and oil business before April 30

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has just sent a document to key traders of gasoline and oil, distributors of gasoline and oil, and general agents on the application of digitalization and the use of electronic invoices.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade requires promoting the application of digitalization in the management of gasoline and oil business.

Pursuant to Document No. 175/TB-VPCP dated April 13, 2025 of the Government Office announcing the conclusion of the Government Standing Committee at the meeting to receive and explain the draft Decree replacing the Government's Decrees on gasoline and oil trading, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development requests that key gasoline and oil traders, gasoline and oil distributors, and general agents promote the application of digitalization in business management, to be completed before April 30, 2025.

"Any trader or businessperson who does not comply with regulations on electronic invoices, electronic invoices generated from cash registers for each sale and data connection with tax authorities is considered ineligible to trade in gasoline and oil and will have their license revoked," the document stated.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development also requires units to seriously report on the National Petroleum Business Management and Operation Database System at the website quanlyxangdau.moit.gov.vn.
