On November 29, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City Le Van Thinh signed a document to the principals of colleges, intermediate schools, directors of vocational education centers, and heads of vocational education establishments in Ho Chi Minh City regarding the recruitment and management of teachers in the vocational education system.

Specifically, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City requested heads of units to review and report on the recruitment and invitation to teach Mr. Nguyen Truong Hai (born August 13, 1981) at the Vietnam College of Industry and Trade (part of the vocational education system).

This move came after the press reported that Mr. Hai used a fake doctorate to work at many universities and colleges, including the Vietnam College of Industry and Trade.

In addition, for public service units, when recruiting civil servants, it is necessary to pay attention to examining and verifying the qualifications and certificates of successful candidates to ensure accuracy according to legal regulations before signing a labor contract with the successful candidates.

On November 30 and December 1, Van Hien University and Saigon University of Technology had a working session with the PA03 Police about this fake doctorate case.
