April 16,The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said it has sent a document requesting localities, aviation units and airlines to develop a plan to ensure passenger service during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and the upcoming summer peak.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires units to increase passenger service capacity during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and the summer peak; pay attention to the spirit, attitude and quality of service; promptly handle and respond to complaints and recommendations from passengers, and avoid "hot spots" and frustrations at airports.
Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested localities to review and request service providers.passenger transportin the area such as taxis, technology cars,... increase operating time, increase the number of vehicles to the airport to serve passengers in need, facilitate passenger travel, especially passengers on night flights to/from the airport.
In addition, local authorities are required to coordinate with the airport authority and airports to strengthen inspection, supervision, and maintain security and order at airports, promptly prevent emerging and emergency situations; and strictly handle organizations and individuals involved in the situation of "illegal vehicles", luring passengers, overcharging passengers, and illegally increasing ticket prices.
On the practice flight plan in preparation for the military aircraft performance inOn the occasion of the 30/4 anniversary, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Operations (Ministry of National Defense) and airlines, based on military flight plans and exploitation activities, to develop flight management solutions, limiting the impact on air transport activities. The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation strictly implements regulations on ensuring flight safety, and has flight management solutions to minimize congestion of aircraft arriving and departing from Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat during peak holidays and summer.
Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3 is expected to welcome its first flight tomorrow, April 17.
The facilities providing flight operations services of the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation need to arrange sufficient human resources to serve flight operations; maintain the correct duty regime of the direct workforce at the facilities in the flight operations assurance service provision chain; closely monitor flight operations data during peak holiday and summer peak days, develop appropriate operation plans, and promptly report to the Department when there are unusual developments related to flight operations.
Aviation service providers develop specific plans, solutions, and measures to ensure the ability to provide services during the April 30, May 1 holidays and the 2025 summer peak, arrange sufficient resources and equipment to serve flights according to the airlines' increased flight operation plans; strengthen inspection work, ensure security and safety when serving flights, passengers, and participating in traffic at airports and airfields; control and promptly detect and handle arising situations, ensure the chain and process of serving passengers, goods, and providing continuous services at airports.
The Department directed the port operators to coordinate with agencies and units to unify the conversion plan during the transition of domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air to Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, expected to start tomorrow, April 17, to ensure smooth operation for passengers and airlines; review and supplement forms of instructions and information so that passengers can easily recognize and avoid going to the wrong terminal, etc.
"Airlines should plan to increase flights to best meet passenger demand; promptly add flights if there is high demand; increase operating frequency during off-peak hours and at night; minimize delays and cancellations due to airline reasons; maintain and improve quality.passenger service, increase on-time flight rate".

Based on the resources of airports and the operating plans of airlines, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) proactively develops specific plans and measures to increase passenger service capacity during the April 30, May 1 holidays and the summer peak; pays special attention to the spirit, attitude and quality of passenger service; closely coordinates with airlines to promptly handle and respond to complaints and recommendations of passengers, preventing "hot spots" and passenger frustrations at the airport area.
At the same time, review and supplement sufficient forces, vehicles, and equipment for fire fighting and emergency response according to the approved plan; inspect runways, taxiways, aircraft parking lots, and have timely solutions when incidents occur. Units need to arrange the most convenient parking spots for bus routes operating at the airport so that passengers can easily recognize and use the bus service, and coordinate with the local Department of Construction to have a plan to transfer passengers when congestion occurs at the airport area.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires airlines to comply with regulations on transportation prices, strictly control ticket sales by agents, and ensure that selling prices comply with regulations.
"Major airlines such as Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet arrange resources, develop plans to increase flights, best meet passenger transportation needs; monitor the sales situation on routes, promptly supplement flights with high demand, increase operating frequency during off-peak hours and night hours; notify early flight increase plans to airports and aviation service providers to proactively unify and arrange operating resources, minimize delays and cancellations due to airline reasons; maintain and improve the quality of passenger services, the rate of"On-time flights," Mr. Uong Viet Dung, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, requested.
In addition, the authority also requires airlines to comply with regulations on domestic air transport prices, sell tickets within the price range and domestic transport price policy of the airline; strictly control ticket sales by agents, ensure selling prices are in accordance with regulations; fully perform the responsibilities and obligations of carriers to passengers in case of flight cancellations, long flight delays, etc.
