Yen Son celebrates 30 years of founding the Vietnam Association of the Elderly

Leaders of Yen Son District Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" for the period 2021-2025.

With the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, after 5 years of implementing the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example", the District Elderly Association has achieved many remarkable results. Currently, the whole district has over 16,900 members, reaching nearly 90% of the elderly in the district; 27/28 associations have funds to care for and promote the role of the elderly with an amount of 369 million VND; 339 branches have funds from members with an amount of over 7.17 billion VND, this amount of money the branches mainly lend to members to support poverty reduction and family economic development. In addition, the Association has also established Intergenerational clubs, cultural - artistic, physical education - sports clubs.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Yen Son district commended and rewarded 5 collectives and 12 individuals; the District Elderly Association commended and rewarded 2 collectives and 4 outstanding individuals with many achievements in the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" for the period 2021 - 2025.
