Mr. Nguyen Nhat Thang (Department PA02, Provincial Police) shared: “To prepare for this contest, I spent 1 month researching and studying documents and propaganda outlines for the 60th anniversary of the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard's Traditional Day provided by the contest's Organizing Committee. I also searched for many sources of documents related to the national border, the Vietnamese border guard force and collected photos of the activities of the Provincial Border Guard to serve the contest entry process.

Thanks to this contest, in addition to the achievements and feats of the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard through the noble titles awarded by the Party and the State, I am very impressed with the Provincial Border Guard for effectively implementing many practical, meaningful and humane models and programs over the past years, such as: "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of the Border Guard Station", "Accompanying women in the border areas", "Border support", "Green-uniformed doctors", "Green-uniformed teachers", "Green-uniformed commune strengthening cadres"... Through the models, the beautiful images and meaningful work of the border guard force in general and the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard in particular have spread, making the image of border guards increasingly familiar and close in the hearts of border people as well as the people of the province".

Through learning about the border, the tradition of the border force has also aroused in students a love for the homeland, a deep gratitude for the merits of their ancestors, the silent sacrifices of officers and soldiers, the Border Guard, day and night guarding the borders of the Fatherland, protecting the peace and independence of the nation.

The students themselves have also had clear changes in their awareness, with true emotions and gratitude coming from the heart, not just empty words. During the competition, the Board of Directors as well as the subject groups have researched documents to disseminate to the students. We have selected 1,800 quality entries from more than 2,000 entries to send to the Organizing Committee.

As a result, my brother and I won third prize, and my mother won second prize. The contest gave me a lot of useful knowledge, such as about the national border in Gia Lai province with a length of more than 80 km, passing through 7 communes in 3 districts. I also learned more about the 60-year journey of the Border Guard, from which I realized that I had to make an effort to be worthy of the previous generation. This year I am in grade 12, and my plan is to take the entrance exam to the National Military Technical Academy, following my father's career. My father is currently a soldier in the 34th Corps.”
