Through the ceremony, "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain" at the construction site of 500 kV Line 3

In just 60 days, the 500 kV line 3 from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) will reach its operational destination. Determined to bring the project to completion on time, putting aside personal joy, on the lines passing through Thanh Hoa, hundreds of engineers and workers are "overcoming the sun and rain", working through the April 30 - May 1 holiday. The investor is also on site to supervise and direct the construction; support and guide the contractor in the import and control of materials, ensuring the conditions for laying and pulling the project's wires from May 15.

During the holidays, especially from April 28 to May 1, the weather in Thanh Hoa was extremely hot. However, engineers and workers still worked continuously in shifts at heights of hundreds of meters.

Package No. 11, 500 kV Transmission Line Project, Circuit 3, Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant - Thanh Hoa section, including 15 locations passing through the communes of Trieu Loc (Hau Loc); Hoang Xuan (Hoang Hoa); Thieu Quang, Thieu Giang (Thieu Hoa); Dinh Cong, Dinh Thanh (Yen Dinh) is considered the most difficult package with many locations crossing rivers, highways and national highways.

Column 142 in Tra Son village, Hoang Xuan commune (Hoang Hoa) is one of the four highest columns of the 500 kV line of Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant - Thanh Hoa. This is the column supporting the line across the Ma River, 95m high and weighing more than 130 tons. The contractor had to mobilize a crane with a 100m boom to bring workers and materials to the top of the column.

The contractor - Phuong Hanh Company Limited undertook the construction of 67 column foundation positions on the 500kV transmission line project from Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant to Thanh Hoa. To ensure the project's progress, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the company mobilized 400 engineers and workers, divided into many construction teams to stay at the construction sites.

The remaining foundation positions are continuing to be accelerated by the contractor.

... and location number 90 in Ba Dinh commune (Nga Son). The contractor - PC1 Group, constructing package number 40, is striving to complete the erection of the pole before May 10.

To avoid the hot weather, construction units have adjusted working hours accordingly. The contractor has also focused on maximizing modern machinery and equipment to support; at the same time, increasing the dissemination of labor safety to workers.

The slogans “Only work, no retreat”, “overcome the sun, overcome the rain” and the red flag with yellow star flying on the construction site are words of encouragement, urging the entire force to make efforts to stay at the construction sites, work through the holidays, and work with the investor and contractor to focus on closely following the project progress and ensuring the quality of the project.

The contractor's leadership - Phuong Hanh Company Limited was present at the construction site to promptly encourage and motivate the construction force.

As of April 29, on the 500 kV line 3, the section passing through Thanh Hoa province has completed 297/380 pole foundation positions, completed 105 poles and is installing 44 poles and is assessed to be closely following the set progress schedule.

The material supplier - Viet Technology Development Investment Trading Joint Stock Company also organized the handover of equipment during the festival so that the contractor had enough materials to organize the construction.

The investor - Northern Power Project Management Board is regularly on site to inspect and supervise construction, support the import and control of materials, and ensure conditions for simultaneous laying and pulling of wires for the project from May 15.

The 500 kV line 3 project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) strives to be energized by June 30, 2024. When put into operation, the 500 kV line 3 will help increase the power transmission capacity from the Central region to the North to about 5,000 MW, double the current capacity, ensuring energy security for the Northern region this summer and in the coming time.
