On the afternoon of April 14, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that tensions between Israel and Iran in recent days have become complicated and continue to escalate.

The news comes shortly after Iran launched a strike on Israel in response to Tel Aviv's bombing of the Iranian embassy in Syria earlier this month.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel and the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran to issue warnings to citizens about measures to ensure security and safety.

The Embassy is required to continue to closely monitor the situation, maintain regular contact with the Vietnamese community, develop citizen protection plans appropriate to the developments of the conflict, and protect the safety of Vietnamese citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also recommends that Vietnamese citizens temporarily avoid traveling to conflict areas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Vietnamese citizens in the area closely monitor the situation, proactively take necessary security and safety measures, strictly comply with local authorities' regulations, avoid large gatherings and limit travel, and immediately contact the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel and the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran when encountering difficulties and needing assistance.

Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed Vietnamese embassies in the Middle East to closely coordinate with local authorities and diplomatic missions in the area.

Embassies have also been directed to strengthen citizen protection measures, assign staff to be on duty and regularly contact Vietnamese community leaders in the localities to continuously update information. So far, the situation of Vietnamese citizens in the localities remains safe.

On the night of April 13 (early this morning Hanoi time), Iran launched 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to attack Israel, pushing the two countries to the brink of full-scale conflict after more than a decade of tension.
