* IDF operation in Gaza Strip enters phase 2: On November 18, speaking at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated: “In the past few days, we have moved into the second phase of the landing… The Defense Forces (IDF) are still in the West, but are gradually moving towards the East…

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Netanyahu continued to criticize Hamas members, denying rumors about the possibility of replacing Foreign Minister Eli Cohen with the current Minister of Economy.

As for why he sent fuel into the Gaza Strip despite promising not to do so, Netanyahu said there was no other way to continue the current conflict. If he did not do so and ensure other humanitarian needs were met, the disease would break out and Israel would lose control of everything.

* Protest march against the conflict in Tel Aviv: On the afternoon of November 18, hundreds of Jews and Arabs gathered at Charles Claure Park in Tel Aviv. They carried banners demanding that the government immediately end the current conflict and exchange hostages, captives and prisoners with the Palestinian armed movements in the Gaza Strip. This is a rare protest march in Israel at this time.

At the same time, hundreds of other Israelis gathered on the opposite side to respond to the above-mentioned marchers. Police had to set up a fence to separate the two groups of protesters to avoid clashes.

Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, tens of thousands of people joined a march of relatives of the kidnapped, gathering in front of Mr. Netanyahu's residence to put pressure.

Earlier, the leader said that in the next few days, the Cabinet will meet with representatives of the relatives of the kidnapped people.

In Haifa, hundreds of people also gathered in Book Square to commemorate the victims of the Hamas attack since October 7. They also called for Prime Minister Netanyahu to resign.

It is expected that crowds will flock to Netanyahu's home in Caesarea to put pressure on the leader.

* US: Palestinian Authority should manage Gaza and West Bank after conflict: On November 18, in an article in the Washington Post (USA), President Joe Biden emphasized: "In the effort for peace, Gaza and the West Bank should be unified under a single management structure, under the leadership of a resurgent Palestinian Authority.

We are all working towards a two-state solution… There must be no use of force to remove Palestinians from Gaza. There must be no reoccupation, siege, blockade or reduction of this territory.”

Mr Biden used the article to try to answer the question of what the US wants for Gaza after the conflict ends.

According to President Biden, the US is ready to issue a visa ban on "extremists" who attack civilians in the West Bank.

“I have stressed to Israeli leaders that the extremist violence against Palestinians in the West Bank must end and those who commit acts of violence must be held accountable,” he said.

Since Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank has increased rapidly.

* Germany finds no irregularities in humanitarian aid to Palestine : On November 18, the German Foreign Ministry said it had carefully reviewed humanitarian aid disbursements to the Palestinian territories.

“The review of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians has been completed. We have not yet found any irregularities related to the suspicion of indirect aid to extremist organizations,” the ministry said.

To date, Berlin has provided humanitarian aid worth some 161 million euros ($175.6 million) to people in the Palestinian territories.
