Director of Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative received the "Cooperative Star" award in 2025

Established in mid-2021, Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative operates mainly in the field of production and trading of agricultural products and medicinal herbs such as: cinnamon, star anise, tea bag products, medicinal pillows, herbal foot bath salt, incense buds for room scenting... Since its establishment and operation, the Cooperative has constantly strived to overcome difficulties, challenges and strive to develop.

Not long after its inception, the cooperative faced a huge difficulty, namely the COVID-19 pandemic, which greatly affected the consumption of its products. The next difficulty was the historic storm No. 3 in early September 2024, which caused many of the cooperative's assets to be flooded and swept away, and the raw material growing areas were also severely affected...

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Lan, Director of the Cooperative, said: In the face of the impacts of natural disasters and epidemics, the Cooperative has proactively studied market demand, while mobilizing internal resources to invest in equipment, machinery, apply science and technology, and learn from practical experiences in other places to focus on producing new products to meet consumer demand. Accordingly, the Cooperative has built raw material areas, invested in equipment and many assets to serve production and business.

At the same time, the Cooperative proactively promotes the promotion and trade promotion of product consumption. To improve the effectiveness of trade promotion, in addition to the support of all levels and sectors to facilitate promotion at events inside and outside the province, the Cooperative also proactively applies technology to the introduction, promotion and consumption of products. Accordingly, the Cooperative has built promotion channels on the social network platform tiktok with the name "Lan Ngoc tea", the social network facebook with the name "Tra Lan Ngoc" ... Thereby, consumers know more about the Cooperative's products and the number of products consumed and the Cooperative's revenue increases day by day.

Specifically, in the past 2 years, on average, each year, the Cooperative has sold about 150,000 boxes of tea as well as other herbal products such as medicinal pillows, herbal foot bath salts, incense sticks for room scenting... With stable product consumption, the Cooperative helps people in the area consume raw materials at higher and more stable prices than in the market (on average, each year the Cooperative sells to people about 300 tons of fresh star anise, 113 tons of dried star anise, more than 130 tons of various herbs...). The Cooperative's revenue in 2024 will reach 2.5 billion VND, 5 times higher than in 2022. Operating stably and effectively, the Cooperative creates jobs for 25 members and workers with an average income of 8 million VND/person/month, an increase of 3 million VND compared to 2022.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, a worker at Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative, said: I have worked at the Cooperative since its establishment. After going through difficult times, the Cooperative has now been operating stably, creating jobs and higher, more stable income for workers. On average, my monthly income is 8-9 million VND. With a stable source of income, I am confident to focus on my work to accompany the Cooperative to develop more and more.

From the results of such production and business activities, Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative has risen to become one of the leading cooperatives in the province. Mr. Lieu Xuan Du, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, said: Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative has taken advantage of the potential and advantages of the locality in terms of abundant raw materials and available human resources to invest in the production and trading of agricultural products and medicinal herbs. Along with that, the Cooperative has constantly strived to overcome many difficulties and challenges, be flexible in production, product promotion and introduction as well as effectively promote the State's policy of supporting the development of collective economy ...

With the results achieved in production and business, from 2023 to present, Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative has been honored to receive many certificates of merit from all levels and sectors. Most recently, on April 11, 2025, the Cooperative was one of 100 typical cooperatives nationwide honored by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and awarded the "Cooperative Star" award in 2025.
