The Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) recently held a forum to discuss opportunities for trade cooperation, investment promotion, and green vehicle technology transfer between Korean agencies, research institutes, and enterprises with associations and enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City.
The forum was held in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of the Korean Green Vehicle Industry Alliance and representatives of associations and prestigious enterprises in the city interested in the green vehicle industry and supporting industries.

The forum attracted nearly 150 delegates from both sides to attend and exchange, aiming to seek economic cooperation opportunities, promote investment, and accompany development.
On the basis of exploiting the strengths of the parties to promote investment cooperation opportunities, trade connection, and connection between Vietnam and Korea to develop green industry with the ASEAN market, VKBIA Association together with Gwangju Green Vehicle Industry Research Institute (GIGA), Korean Automotive Research Center, Honam University (Korea) signed a cooperation agreement with Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) and Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College.
The parties committed to promoting technology exchange, support and transfer, expert support, vocational training and employment support; jointly promoting investment and developing green industry - smart transportation, strongly promoting cooperation in this field between Vietnam, Korea and other countries in the ASEAN bloc.
At the forum, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu - Vice Principal in charge of IUH, hoped that the cooperation between VKBIA, members of the Korean Green Vehicle Industry Alliance and IUH would bring practical results for the development between the parties, while contributing to the development of quality human resources in the coming time.
Professor Kim Han Seok – in charge of the field of science and industry, Honam University, affirmed that cooperation in training in the green vehicle industry with Vietnam is one of the very important goals and will work with the VKBIA Association and the Korea Green Vehicle Industry Alliance to develop specific programs. Meanwhile, Mr. Seo Guk Hyun – General Director of Innomotive Company (Korea) said that he has signed a cooperation agreement with a Vietnamese company and will bring core technology to develop this field in Vietnam.
Mr. Tran Hai Linh - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the VKBIA Association emphasized: “To achieve the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization, Vietnam needs to develop qualified and quality human resources to meet social requirements, while taking advantage of opportunities and accelerating breakthroughs in the 4.0 Revolution, developing and promoting high-tech science, green technology, and new technology, bringing economic surplus value to society.
In particular, promoting investment, transferring high technology, core technology, training and developing high-quality human resources between the two countries is one of the new appropriate directions in the coming period. We will continue to make every effort within our capacity to contribute to strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and Korea."
