Promoting investment, trade and tourism in Thanh Hoa province in Dai Chau city, Zhejiang province, China

On September 20, a working delegation of Thanh Hoa province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Standing Committee Member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, organized a Conference on Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in Thanh Hoa province in Dai Chau city, Zhejiang province (China).

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lam Tien Hoa, Member of the Standing Committee of the City, Deputy Mayor of Dai Chau City affirmed: Since 2013, the initiation of "1 belt - 1 road", the two countries of China and Vietnam have continuously improved their cooperative relationship, supported the construction of a community sharing the future and benefits of both sides. Dai Chau City has seized this opportunity to expand investment promotion and cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises, including Thanh Hoa enterprises.

Appreciating the significance of this Conference on Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in Thanh Hoa Province, the leaders of Dai Chau City government said that the potential and room for developing economic and trade cooperation between the two localities is still very large, which will bring many opportunities and prospects for cooperation for both sides. Therefore, enterprises need to make good use of the potential and advantages; expand economic, trade and tourism exchanges, continue to deepen creative cooperation, accelerate the implementation of development linkages, and promote exchanges and close cooperation between the two localities and enterprises of both sides.

He gave an overview of the potential and outstanding advantages of Thanh Hoa, Nghi Son Economic Zone and industrial parks, priority areas for investment attraction, and Thanh Hoa's preferential investment policies; emphasizing the advantages of land, forest and sea resources, human resources, outstanding achievements in socio-economic development as well as the high determination of the provincial leaders in calling for investment and making efforts to strongly improve the investment and business environment and attract investment.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: In recent times, Thanh Hoa province's investment attraction activities have achieved many important results, with more than 2,350 domestic and foreign direct investment projects, total registered capital of more than 27 billion USD; including the world's leading enterprises.

Thanh Hoa is actively supporting Chinese enterprises that have invested, are investing and are preparing to invest to effectively implement projects in Thanh Hoa. In fact, Chinese enterprises are very satisfied with Thanh Hoa. Thanh Hoa province also highly appreciates Chinese enterprises operating in the area.

The Standing Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee suggested that Dai Chau City, Zhejiang Province, increase the sharing of development experiences, further expand investment, trade and tourism cooperation with Thanh Hoa Province; create conditions for Thanh Hoa goods to penetrate the Zhejiang market; continue to encourage enterprises and large economic groups of Dai Chau City, Zhejiang to connect and invest in areas of Thanh Hoa Province's demand such as: Manufacturing and processing industry, e-commerce, production of raw materials, logistics, clean energy, high technology, environmentally friendly, in line with sustainable development requirements.

Thanh Hoa province always welcomes, provides maximum support, accompanies enterprises before, during and after investment, creates all favorable conditions in accordance with the law for enterprises and investors in Dai Chau city, Zhejiang province to carry out investment, production and business activities in the province with the motto: "The success of investors is the success of Thanh Hoa province".

Enterprises and economic groups from Dai Chau and Zhejiang were also discussed and clarified by Thanh Hoa provincial leaders on a number of issues related to the investment environment, investment incentive policies, industrial park infrastructure, potential fields and industries, room for development and cooperation, bringing success to both sides.

The investment promotion program provided a lot of important and useful information about Thanh Hoa. Enterprises were also informed and discussed specifically about the strengths and cooperation needs of the business community of both sides; the need for cooperation in developing trade and tourism with Thanh Hoa province.

The Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee said: Taizhou City is one of the 27 central cities of Zhejiang Province. With a population of nearly 7 million people, the city has a dynamically developing economy, with strengths in automobile manufacturing and assembly, medicine, textiles, etc. The entire city has 70 national-level industrial parks, over 300 products occupying the top 1 market and is planning to develop low-flying economic services, large-area semiconductors and other industrial fields.

Secretary of the Taizhou City Party Committee Li Yaoqi informed about the city's socio-economic situation and development plan.

Currently, the city has large enterprises and economic groups investing in Thanh Hoa province and having effective production and business activities. A typical example is Weixing Group, which specializes in producing raw materials for the garment and footwear industries.

The government of Dai Chau city hopes to cooperate and support in introducing businesses in the region to Thanh Hoa to explore investment and business opportunities, especially in areas where Dai Chau has strengths and Thanh Hoa province has a need for cooperation.

Introducing more clearly the areas that the province is prioritizing to attract investment cooperation, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi expressed: Thanh Hoa province wishes to expand cooperation with the government of Dai Chau city, Zhejiang province and the city's partners and investors to exploit and promote the strengths of both sides, especially in the fields of production, processing, manufacturing, high-tech agriculture, green growth, green economy, digital economy, trade, tourism, etc.

Thanh Hoa Province respectfully invites the city government and corporations and enterprises in the region to visit and survey the investment and business environment. From there, there will be research, exchange and discussion, and more detailed and specific cooperation plans, as a basis for a strong cooperative relationship between Thanh Hoa Province and Dai Chau City.
