Emotional ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the event "Rallying to the North" at Hai Phong bridge

On the evening of November 16, at Hai Phong City Theater Square, the City People's Committee coordinated to organize a live television broadcast to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the "Rally to the North" event.

Live TV broadcast "Deep Love and Heavy Meaning" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the event "Rallying to the North" (1954-2024) in Hai Phong.

The live television broadcast celebrating the 70th anniversary of the "Rally to the North" event was held in 3 localities: Hai Phong - Thanh Hoa - Ca Mau .

Attending the program at Hai Phong City bridge point were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and more than 3,000 delegates, guests and people.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh met with historical witnesses who were students from the South who gathered in the North.

The event aims to commemorate the milestone in the nation's history with the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations to achieve peace, independence, happiness and prosperity today.

For peace, freedom and unification, the people and soldiers of the South sacrificed their lives for a great cause, to move towards the great and noble common goal of the entire nation.

70 years ago, the Geneva Agreement was signed in 1954. President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee made a strategic decision to send a large number of children of cadres, soldiers, and compatriots from the South to the North to continue their studies, in order to train cadres for the Party's long-term revolutionary cause.

The program vividly and deeply recreates a heroic period of the nation's history, contributing to the victory of the Resistance War against America.

This decision marked a historic shift of forces, an important stage in Vietnamese history, contributing to the struggle for national unification.

The TV Bridge program consists of 3 chapters. Chapter 1: The desire for unification, recreating the historical context of the event of the Northward Rally, the correct decisions of President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee in the troop transfer.

Chapter 2: A loyal strip of iron, is the story of the Northern people, despite difficulties and shortages, always giving the best to the children of the South; showing the spirit of the decision to gather in the North, the army and people of the whole country were of one mind, determined to carry it out with all their heart and enthusiasm.

Chapter 3: Glorifying Vietnam, conveying the meaning of the event of the North Rally to become a historical lesson for building an era of Vietnam's rise.

The program at Hai Phong bridge includes 10 unique art performances recreating memories of ships carrying the beliefs and aspirations of Southern compatriots to the North and the protection and care of Northern compatriots for their children in the South.

With a duration of more than 90 minutes, the program not only vividly and deeply recreates a heroic period of the nation's history, contributing to the victory of the Resistance War against American invasion, but also has great significance in later revolutionary stages.
