Mr. Vo Chi Trung participated in the 11km distance of the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half Marathon in 2025 held in Binh Chanh district (HCMC) on the morning of April 13 and finished to the admiration of the audience.

Runner born in 1975 lost an arm due to a work accident, currently working at Phuong Nam Steel Company. This was his first time participating in a race and he chose to compete in the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half Marathon organized by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

"The Lao Dong Newspaper regularly organizes meaningful and practical activities to support workers who have had accidents. I am a regular reader of the newspaper and know about the race organized by this unit. Although I have never participated in the race and rarely practice, I still decided to register to buy a bib to experience the historic running route. I hope that the race will be maintained and spread its profound meaning, attracting participants" - Mr. Trung said.

Standing by his side when he finished the 11km event of the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half Marathon was his wife. Mr. Chi Trung confided that his wife is a runner who regularly participates in distances over 11km but could not participate in the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half Marathon because she registered late, so she had to make an appointment for the next time.
