With this result, the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry is confident that it can set a record of 7.2 billion USD in the whole year of 2024.

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover to most major markets has grown positively, in which many potential markets such as China, the US, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and the UAE have been exploited well. The largest contributor to fruit and vegetable export turnover is durian products with China as the main market. Among fruit and vegetable export items, durian export value recorded a growth of 45%, banana export recorded a growth of more than 24%, mango increased by 40%, jackfruit increased by 25%... compared to the same period last year.

Of which, China ranked first in consumption of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables with 66.5% market share, reaching 4.1 billion USD, up 28.7% over the same period in 2023. The next two largest fruit and vegetable export markets are the US and South Korea with market shares of 4.7% and 4.3% respectively.

Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable export value increased in 14 out of 15 major export markets. Germany saw the strongest increase, with 73.6%. The Netherlands was the only major market with a decrease in export value, with a decrease of 26%.

On the other hand, the import value of fruits and vegetables in November 2024 is estimated at 230 million USD, bringing the total import value of fruits and vegetables in the first 11 months of 2024 to 2.1 billion USD, up 17.5% over the same period in 2023. China (accounting for 42.4% market share), the United States (17.9%) and Australia (7%) are the three largest markets supplying fruits and vegetables to Vietnam. Compared to the same period in 2023, the import value of fruits and vegetables in the first 11 months of 2024 from China increased by 24.2%, the United States increased by 29.9% and Australia increased by 3.2%.

It is expected that by 2024, rubber export turnover will reach 3-3.2 billion USD.
