By the end of June 2024, Ninh Binh province had more than 1,000 people going abroad for labor export, reaching over 73% of the yearly plan. Positive signals from labor export markets show that labor export in our province may set a new record in 2024.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Gia Vien district) finished studying welding at the Vietnam-Soviet College of Electrical Engineering and Construction 3 years ago. Choosing to work abroad to gain experience and have a better salary became Ngoc Anh's goal. To find out information about the overseas labor market, Ngoc Anh went to a regular job fair held in early June at the Provincial Employment Service Center.
Ngoc Anh said: There is a lot of information about the overseas labor market. But recently, in many localities across the country, there have been many cases of fraud in labor export, so I decided to go to a job fair organized by the province's professional agency to directly learn and meet reputable businesses in the field of labor export. It is very convenient for me and many other workers when the information is introduced fully, concisely, and easy to understand. Problems are solved on the spot. In particular, there are also Korean language teaching units in the province that are present and guide us through the procedures and processes of learning the language. I will consider and make the choice that is suitable for myself.
According to many workers, currently, the propaganda work on labor export is carried out systematically and qualitatively by specialized agencies. Attractive orders with large recruitment numbers have opened up job opportunities with good income levels for workers to easily choose. Workers are even advised on a roadmap to equip themselves with more skills and knowledge, thereby being able to participate in quality orders in more potential markets.
In 2024, the Korean market will continue to be one of the markets that many workers are aiming for. In particular, in 2024, Korea will increase the number of labor recruitment to over 15,300 people in the following industries: manufacturing, construction, agriculture and fisheries. According to the Overseas Labor Center, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the first round of the Korean language exam in 2024 will expand the scope of recruitment nationwide. This also opens up great opportunities for workers in our province.
Ninh Binh province's workers have participated in the Korean labor market since 2005. Up to now, thousands of workers have been working in Korea for a limited period of time, including many workers going abroad under the EPS program. Since the beginning of 2024, the province has sent over 1,000 workers abroad, including over 500 workers going to the Korean market.
Mr. La Thanh Tung, Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center, said: The EPS program has always been one of the province's effective labor export channels. Workers are interested in this program because of its low cost, large recruitment opportunities, and high income of 40-60 million VND/person/month. In particular, when participating in the EPS program, workers are protected and enjoy the same benefits as Korean workers.
However, to participate in this program, workers must pass a Korean proficiency test organized by Korea in coordination with Vietnam. After passing the two rounds of the test, workers will undergo a health check and prepare an application to introduce themselves to Korean employers. Korean employers choose to sign a contract, and then workers will complete procedures to work in Korea. In recent years, the Provincial Employment Service Center has actively promoted and disseminated information, creating favorable conditions for workers in the province to access job opportunities from the EPS program.
Not only exploiting the traditional market well, in some new markets in Europe such as Germany, Bulgaria, Romania ... there are also many job opportunities for Vietnamese workers in general, and workers in Ninh Binh province in particular. Units operating in the field of labor export have also quickly approached and sought opportunities from these markets.
Some markets have a need to recruit new occupational groups that Vietnam in general and Ninh Binh province in particular are capable of meeting well, and have a need to send such as: Nursing, caregiving and agriculture, aquaculture, skilled labor, high technology, creating many job opportunities for workers when choosing to work abroad... According to data from the Provincial Employment Service Center, at the regular job fairs held monthly, the Center has received tens of thousands of recruitment targets from businesses operating in the field of labor export.
In order to bring job opportunities to a large number of workers, the Provincial Employment Service Center has implemented propaganda, consulting and job introduction activities through organizing regular job fairs at the Center; mobile sessions. Therefore, labor export work in our province has improved a lot in recent years. Typically, in 2023, the whole province broke the record for labor export within 10 years with the number of exported workers reaching over 2,000 people.
In 2024, Ninh Binh province aims to send 1,400 workers abroad. According to the assessment results of the first 6 months of 2024, the whole province had 1,024 people working abroad under contracts (reaching 73.14% of the yearly plan, an increase of 16.2% over the same period in 2023). With this result, it is completely possible to expect a new breakthrough of the province in labor export work this year.
