First official export of 360 tons of durian to China

On the morning of June 16, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to organize a ceremony to announce the export of the first durian shipment under the Protocol signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of China.

360 tons of durian contained in 20 containers exported to China

At the ceremony, 360 tons of various types of durian (Dona, Ri6) contained in 20 containers were exported to China. The above durians belonged to 6 enterprises, including: Hoa Hanh Fruit Import-Export Company Limited, Thanh Trung Import-Export Company Limited, Thuy Fruit Company Limited, Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Group Joint Stock Company, Tan Hoang Linh Import-Export Company Limited and Thuan Huong Production and Trading Company Limited.

Durian is one of the 20 main crops of Dong Nai, Dong Nai's durian area ranks 4th in the country.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dong Nai, durian is one of the 24 key crops of the province with an area of ​​over 11,345 hectares, ranking first in the Southeast region and fourth in the country in terms of area (after Dak Lak 22,458 hectares, Lam Dong 17,719 hectares and Tien Giang 17,656 hectares).

Dong Nai durian is grown mainly in 3 districts: Cam My, Tan Phu, Xuan Loc and Long Khanh city. In 2023, the durian harvest will be about 69,000 tons, with an expected export of 20,000 tons of durian to China.
