Fake text about international student exchange program - Screenshot
On March 19, Dr. Tran Lang, principal of Phu Yen University, said that recently on social networks, a fake document related to the student exchange program between Phu Yen University (PYU) and Pusan National University (PNU), South Korea appeared. This document was not issued by the school and contained false information.
According to Dr. Tran Lang, all official information about the student exchange program will only be announced through the official website and fanpage of Phu Yen University or the communication channels of the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation.
If you want to participate in student exchange programs or other activities, students need to check the information on the school's website, or contact the school directly to confirm information and specific instructions.
Recently, understanding the needs of parents and students, many people have created fake websites and fake announcements to recruit students to study abroad, with the aim of defrauding and appropriating property.
Several universities have repeatedly warned students to be vigilant against fake and fraudulent information requesting money transfers under the guise of winning scholarships or student exchange programs and requiring payment of fees for approval.
Authorities also warned people to absolutely not transfer money to individuals or bank accounts of unknown origin; not to access links or attachments in messages, emails or suspicious posts on social networks.
