According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent times, the department and localities have implemented many programs and plans to manage the tourism environment, and in general, the quality of the tourism environment at destinations has improved. However, through reflection, some destinations in Hoi An City are affecting the image of Quang Nam tourism, causing insecurity for tourists.

Notably, the situation of touts, competing for customers, raising service prices at Cua Dai wharf, organizing tours for tourists at Cu Lao Cham wharf... operates openly, causing harassment and inconvenience to tourists. The procedures for leaving the wharf to Cu Lao Cham are still cumbersome, manual, and time-consuming for tourists.

Therefore, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the People's Committee of Hoi An City to continue to take strong measures, thoroughly handle violations, and rectify existing problems in the tourism environment just mentioned.

Previously, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province issued a directive on strengthening the management of the tourism environment, ensuring security and safety for tourists. In particular, it acknowledged that Hoi An City has actively inspected and rectified tourism and service activities; ensured the tourism environment, restored traffic order and safety in some areas in the area, and limited the encroachment of roads and sidewalks...

The efforts of Hoi An City have contributed to building the image of Quang Nam - a green tourist destination with results. However, up to now, the tourism environment at some destinations in Hoi An City still has some problems affecting tourists.
