On January 4, Kien Giang Border Guard coordinated with Ha Tien City People's Committee to organize a series of programs "Spring Border Guard Warms the Hearts of Local People" in 2025. Activities included: environmental sanitation and helping a border family celebrate Tet, making banh tet, organizing medical examinations, giving out free medicine and organizing folk games for people in My Duc ward.
“My family is poor. Today, the soldiers came to help clean and decorate the house for Tet, I am very happy. This Tet, my family will be very happy and well-off,” said Ms. Hong Thi Kim Quai (in Xa Xia neighborhood, My Duc ward).
Colonel Huynh Van Dong - Political Commissar of Kien Giang Border Guard - said that the program "Spring on the border warms the hearts of the villagers" has truly spread and has practical meaning in bringing a complete and warm Tet to the people in the border areas.
In the year of the Dragon 2024, this program will also be held in Ha Tien city and will present 30 breeding cows, 20 houses and 2,199 gifts to the poor and policy families in the locality.
With the spirit of "leaving no one behind", the unit coordinated with the People's Committee of Ha Tien City to organize the program "Warm Border Spring for the People" in 2025 with many meaningful and practical activities, hoping to bring a warmer and happier Tet to the people in the border area.
