On April 18, Hanoi City Police said that the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Hanoi City Police had punished two cases of posting video clips with gambling content on Facebook.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control of Hanoi City Police discovered that the Fanpage accounts "Miss Huong" and Fanpage "Lan Huong Nguyen" posted video clips with gambling content. Posting gambling video clips on the Internet is not only a violation of the law but also has a negative impact on the community. The unit quickly took action to verify and clarify that the account owners are NTH (born: 1999; residing in Hoang Mai, Hanoi) and LTT (born: 1997; residing in Gia Lam, Hanoi) and proceeded to work with these two cases.

The Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department prepares a file to handle violations.

At the police station, NTH and LTT admitted to staging video clips with gambling content and posting them on Facebook to attract “likes”, “views”, and increase interactions to sell their products. Posting these clips is an illegal act, inciting social evils and gambling.

On April 14 and 15, 2025, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control of Hanoi City Police issued a Decision to impose administrative sanctions on the above two cases for the act of "Providing and sharing fabricated information, causing public confusion, inciting violence, crimes, social evils, gambling or serving gambling" as prescribed in Point d, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating sanctions for administrative violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions; Amended and supplemented in Decree No. 14/2022/ND-CP dated January 27, 2022 of the Government.

The Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Hanoi City Police recommends that people need to raise their legal awareness and responsibility when using social networks, together building a healthy, positive and safe online environment for everyone.

Do not post or share video clips with fabricated content, causing public panic, inciting violence, crime, social evils, gambling or serving gambling and other prohibited acts on cyberspace.
