Cam Khe District Police have issued a decision to administratively sanction two citizens residing in Cam Khe Town for failing to comply with the direction and command of natural disaster prevention and control by competent agencies or persons with a fine of 4 million VND/case.

Faced with the situation of the Thao River water level rising rapidly, endangering people's lives and property, Cam Khe district has organized the evacuation of a number of households in the dangerous area to a safe place. On September 9, the authorities mobilized forces to the Phu Dong alluvial area in Phu Dong ward, Cam Khe town to propagate and mobilize people living there to move to the shore to ensure safety.
Mobilizing vehicles to bring citizens safely to shore
However, two citizens, Mr. D.TT (born in 1993, residing in Phu Dong area, Cam Khe town) and Ms. NTT (born in 1973, residing in Thanh Cong area, Cam Khe town) deliberately disobeyed the direction and command of natural disaster prevention and control of the competent authority, fled, and refused to come ashore, causing the forces to search for them for many hours. On the morning of September 10, the authorities were able to bring the two citizens to a safe area.
The above behavior violates the provisions of Clause 1, Article 12, Decree No. 03/2022/ND-CP dated January 6, 2022 of the Government on "Administrative sanctions for violations in the field of natural disaster prevention, irrigation, and dykes". The fine is 4 million VND/case.
Through this, people need to strictly comply with the provisions of the law in preventing and fighting natural disasters, storms and floods to ensure the safety of life and property.
