Strictly handle negative aspects in management and use of public finance and assets.

(Dan Tri) - The Ministry of Home Affairs requires strict handling of groups and individuals who violate, take advantage of, abuse their positions and powers, commit corruption, and commit negative acts in the management and use of public finance and assets.

On behalf of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has just signed and issued the Plan to implement Regulation No. 189-QD/TW/2024 of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the management and use of public finance and assets.

The plan aims to thoroughly grasp, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees and heads of units under the Ministry of Home Affairs in implementing Regulation No. 189, creating positive changes in the staff.

In particular, the plan requires promoting the exemplary responsibility of leaders of Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, organizations, and units and the responsibility of each Party member, civil servant, public employee, and worker in preventing and combating corruption and negativity.

The implementation contents must be comprehensive, focused, and key; control activities must respect and not hinder the normal operations of agencies, units, organizations, and competent persons in the management and use of public finance and assets.

The Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs clearly stated the need to thoroughly grasp and disseminate Regulation 189-QD/TW and focus on building and perfecting mechanisms, policies, laws and strictly implementing legal regulations on management and use of public finance and assets.

In particular, it is necessary to strengthen inspection, examination, auditing, supervision, detection and handling of violations in this field.

"Promptly detect and strictly handle groups and individuals who violate, take advantage of, abuse positions and powers, abuse power, commit corruption, and engage in negativity," the plan clearly states.

At the same time, according to the plan, it is necessary to promptly protect those who discover, reflect, denounce, report, and provide information about violations, abuse of position, abuse of power, corruption, etc.

Cases of taking advantage of feedback, recommendations, and denunciations to slander, distort, and insult the reputation of agencies, organizations, and individuals must be strictly handled.

As a final solution, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized the promotion of the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass media and people in monitoring, detecting and proposing to handle corruption and negativity in the management and use of public finance and assets.
