(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Ministry of Interior has requested strict handling of collectives and individuals who violate regulations, abuse their positions and powers, and engage in corruption and negative practices in the management and use of public finances and assets.
On behalf of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Interior, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has just signed and issued the Plan for implementing Regulation No. 189-QĐ/TW/2024 of the Politburo on controlling power and preventing and combating corruption and negative practices in the management and use of public finances and assets.
The plan aims to instill and raise awareness and responsibility among Party committees and heads of units under and directly affiliated with the Ministry of Interior in implementing Regulation No. 189, creating positive changes in the staff.

Specifically, the plan emphasizes the exemplary responsibility of the heads of Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, organizations, and units, as well as the responsibility of each Party member, civil servant, public employee, and worker in preventing and combating corruption and negative practices.
The implementation must be comprehensive, focused, and targeted; control activities must respect and not hinder the normal operation of agencies, units, organizations, and authorized individuals in the management and use of public finances and assets.
The Party Committee of the Ministry of Interior stated that it is important to thoroughly understand and disseminate Regulation 189-QĐ/TW and focus on building and perfecting mechanisms, policies, laws, and strictly implementing legal regulations on the management and use of public finances and assets.
In particular, it is necessary to strengthen inspection, examination, auditing, and supervision to detect and handle violations in this field.
"Promptly detect and strictly handle groups and individuals who violate regulations, exploit or abuse their positions and powers, engage in corruption and negative practices," the plan states.
At the same time, according to the plan, it is necessary to promptly protect those who detect, report, denounce, inform, or provide information about violations, abuse of power, corruption, etc.
Cases where feedback, suggestions, or denunciations are exploited to slander, distort, or insult the reputation of agencies, organizations, or individuals must be dealt with severely.
In conclusion, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Interior emphasized the need to promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations, the media, and the people in monitoring, detecting, and proposing solutions for corruption and negative practices in the management and use of public finances and assets.
