Following the trend of interactive books that have been popular with young readers and many parents in recent years, book publishers continue to launch creative products to enhance children's reading experience.
Besides physical interactions such as flipping, cutting, pasting, coloring... there are also books that integrate technology such as reading with a pen, using sound modules...

Many children's book publishers are promoting this product line, many parents confidently choose to buy this product line as summer gifts for their children, hoping that the lively sounds that accompany the pages of the book will arouse children's interest in reading from a young age. Moreover, sounds are said to contribute to awakening and opening up children's abilities in the 0-3 year old stage.
Audio books are often designed with many buttons that play sounds according to the child's reading progress. Ms. Ngoc Anh (25 years old, Cau Giay, Hanoi) shared: "My baby is about 1 year old, I noticed that thanks to the buttons that play sounds, he is very interested in books. Now, whenever he sees a book, he rushes towards it."
She believes that this product stimulates children's hearing, can support children in the process of learning to speak and absorb new words. Audio book products often have simple, friendly content, colorful images, funny sounds, attracting young children.
Reading pen
Reading pens are widely used products to support children in learning foreign languages. The product is suitable for children under 11 years old. Books with reading pens provide a comprehensive combination of images and sounds, inspiring children to approach knowledge in books themselves.
Sharing the reason for creating the Reading Pen - Learning English series, Ms. Kim Thoa, Director of Tan Viet Books, said that after many years of making books for children, she realized that one of the most effective impacts on children's brains, besides images, is sound.
A set of digital books introduced by this unit to young readers this summer is receiving attention from parents. The set of books with reading pens includes bilingual products, convenient for children to learn foreign languages at home.
According to Ms. Thoa, children using books with reading pens will easily develop many senses at the same time: Hearing (sounds of each sentence, animal sounds, objects), vision (recognizing letters and images), and touch (holding the pen to read and touching each line of words and images).
By integrating vivid sound and eye-catching images, many parents hope to attract their children to books, away from the electronic screens of smartphones, tablets...
The reading pen also has the feature of recording the reading voice and comparing it with the standard voice, from which children can self-study and correct pronunciation errors.
A representative of the book maker shared: "To avoid harming children, the pen is designed with safe materials, no electromagnetic waves, no harm to children's eyes or brains."

Books with integrated QR Code
In the past, books that needed audio had to be released with a CD attached to the book. Nowadays, many publications on the market include QR codes. These codes, when scanned, can lead to an audio or video file, supporting children's reading and learning process.
Not only used in publications serving educational purposes, QR codes can also appear in literary and artistic products.
In an edition of Eyes Closed and Window Opened, Tre Publishing House applies virtual interactive technology (animation). When readers use their phones to scan the QR code on the bookmark that comes with the book, they will see the cover photo, characters and text moving vividly.
Or like in the book Growing Up with My Children, the Kim Dong Publishing House team printed QR codes at the beginning of each chapter. These codes lead to audio files that play the corresponding songs mentioned in the chapter, including audio files that are original, historical documents, performed by the characters themselves.
These technology-integrated books bring a new reading experience, creating special excitement for young readers. In modern times, technology plays an intimate role in our lives, books and publishing are increasingly incorporating technology, allowing readers to access knowledge in many different ways.
