Not long ago, a large drainage culvert on Provincial Road 10, Ngoc Anh residential group, Phu Thuong ward, Thuan Hoa district was clogged, overflowing onto the sidewalk, causing a foul smell, affecting the surrounding environment. A resident sent information to "Report on scene" on the Hue-S application, hoping that the authorities would handle it soon. Just a few days after receiving the resident's feedback, the Hue City Urban Development and Investment Project Management Board took action to ensure the drainage operated normally.

About half a month ago, in some residential areas, main roads, alleys... in Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan districts, there was a situation where network cables were tangled and hung down on the road, causing danger to pedestrians and spoiling the urban beauty. People living in the area reported the incident to Hue-S. After receiving the people's feedback, the Department of Science and Technology promptly directed relevant telecommunications enterprises to conduct inspections and handle the situation to ensure safety for people passing by.

Mr. Nguyen Doan Hai in Ngoc Anh residential group, Phu Thuong ward, Thuan Hoa district talked: "In the past, when encountering problems, violations or "eye-catching" things..., people did not know who to complain to and if they complained, it was slow to be handled. But now, when the internet system is widely covered, digital platforms, social networks, channels for receiving opinions such as zalo groups of residential groups, party cells, women's associations... are connected and interacted, people's reflections and problems are soon resolved. Especially through the Hue-S application, reflections on the inadequacies of infrastructure, urban order, environment, administrative services, public utilities... have reached the "ears" of the government, agencies, and functional units and have been promptly resolved and handled.

In addition to Hue-S, Hue city has also deployed many digital platforms to promote comprehensive digital transformation in areas such as e-government, smart cities, digital economy and digital society. A typical example is the city's digital working platform with the "Paperless Meeting" tool, which helps to use and exchange documents and work records from the city to the commune level electronically in the network environment, replacing paper documents, contributing to saving a large amount of money and time for the State and people. In addition, other digital platforms such as supporting businesses with "Support system, trade promotion for product sales", "Youth Union", "Party cell handbook", "Civil servants, public employees" ... integrated on the Hue-S application have also actively promoted digital features in handling work, solving public administrative procedures, public services ...

The tangled network cables hanging down the road, posing a danger to passersby, were reported to Hue-S by the people and promptly handled.

Connect, increase interaction

Since Hue-S became a popular platform in connecting the digital social ecosystem of Hue city, the level of people participating in solving local problems with the government through the Hue-S interactive channel has been relatively high. According to Mr. Nguyen Duong Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, up to now, Hue-S has developed more than 50 services and integrated many smart services to serve people, tourists, businesses, and state agencies. There are currently more than 1,300,000 registered accounts, recording an average of more than 25,000,000 visits each year, of which more than 815,000 downloads are from Hue people. Hue-S also connects with 63 provinces, cities and more than 80 countries around the world.

Remember, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the education sector has applied digital technology through platforms, connection tools, and social networks to combine online teaching and learning with direct teaching, without interrupting the teaching and learning program. Also since 2021, the Department of Education and Training has deployed a sector database for comprehensive management. Since then, at all schools in the area, teachers have provided information on learning scores, electronic transcripts, and digital platform services through the Hue-S system so that students and parents can be updated and promptly grasp the programs, activities, and news disseminated by the school, as well as look up their children's learning results accurately, pay fees at the beginning of the school year, etc.

In order to digitize processes, serve the management of state agencies and share information with people and businesses, the construction industry has also built and put into use a planning management system, deployed applications such as: Smart bus management system; application and deployment of GIS software and GovOne system in road maintenance; system for granting (changing) transport business licenses; system for granting (changing) car signs and badges. These systems have been integrated into the city's public service portal, Hue-S application.

Along with state agencies, the local business community has also actively participated in digital transformation. The number of digital technology enterprises has also increased, with more than 360 digital technology enterprises and more than 230 digital platform enterprises operating in the following types: Core technology, digital technology products, providing digital services, and digital technology startups. Mr. Giap Hoa, Director of Phu Hoang Thinh Taxi Vang Joint Stock Company, said that the company is using a digital platform, participating in electronic transactions on the network environment, and paying electronic taxes through digital services. Thanks to that, the operation, business management, transportation, and distribution of vehicles to serve customers are very convenient and effective.
