Meanwhile, a leader of An Giang Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. said that up to this point, it is still unknown whether it will merge into Kien Giang Lottery Company or not. According to this person, the Lottery Company is owned by the Provincial People's Committee, so the authority to decide belongs to the Provincial People's Committee. Certainly, the companies must merge according to the approved plan to merge provinces and cities.

According to this person, if the province is merged, the revenue from lottery activities will be concentrated in one place. "Maybe, after the province is merged, the lottery companies will be rearranged. Maybe keep 2 periods until the end of the year. After that, the Ministry of Finance will decide," this person said.

A leader of the XSKT One Member Co., Ltd. in the West informed that on April 24, there will be a meeting of the Southern Lottery Council, with representatives of the Ministry of Finance attending, and this content will be discussed.

Lottery ticket sellers hope to return unsold tickets and increase commissions

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on April 17, the owner of a lottery agency in Can Tho City said that the current sales of each company is 130 billion VND/period. On average, the Southern Lottery has 3 companies opening prizes every day, with sales of 390 billion VND.

“When Can Tho city, Hau Giang province and Soc Trang province merge, the issuance revenue will still be the same, also 390 billion VND/lottery opening period. However, the lottery opening days will soon be alternated with other companies,” he predicted.

The leader of An Giang Lottery One Member Company said that the two companies will merge into one, and the headquarters of the lottery company will be located wherever the administrative center is located.

According to Mr. Tran Chi Hung, Chairman of the Kien Giang Lottery One Member Company, each province currently issues, consumes, and draws lottery tickets for one period, so the merger and issuance will be carefully calculated, otherwise, it will affect the budget revenue. The location of the headquarters is not important, and the merger will not affect the operations of lottery agents.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, a street ticket seller in Ca Mau city, Ca Mau province, said that street lottery ticket sellers do not care much about whether or not to import. "We hope that after importing, the lottery ticket companies will be strong enough and take better care of street lottery ticket sellers.

What we need now is a higher commission on each lottery ticket, companies instructing agents to take back unsold tickets, and providing transportation or housing for street lottery ticket sellers so they can have a better life and feel secure in their lottery ticket selling career," said Mr. Hanh.
