On the afternoon of February 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association held the opening ceremony of a current affairs and art photo exhibition with the theme of Spring Colors of Truong Sa , at the association's headquarters.

The exhibition introduces more than 120 photos taken by three photographers Nguyen Manh Hung, Nguyen Phung and Giang Son Dong after a nearly 20-day voyage to visit officers, soldiers and people of Truong Sa archipelago during the recent Tet holiday. This is the first time photographers from the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association and a working delegation have visited the archipelago to celebrate Tet (from January 1 to January 21) to create artistic photos. All three photographers Nguyen Manh Hung, Nguyen Phung and Giang Son Dong have visited Truong Sa archipelago for the first time. Photographer Nguyen Manh Hung told Tuoi Tre Online that visiting Truong Sa is an honor and a dream of every citizen, especially those who hold cameras like him. "Coming to Truong Sa, I felt the youthfulness of the soldiers, the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of the delegation. From the heart, I want to bring the image of the life of the soldiers and people on the island to many people. I hope that the audience will have the warmest feelings, sending their love to the soldiers" - Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung added.

Hope to visit Truong Sa again

Photographer Nguyen Phung said this was his longest business trip, nearly 20 days. Coming to Truong Sa, he loved this archipelago even more, loved the island soldiers guarding the sky and sea of ​​the Fatherland. "Song Tu Tay is the place where it took us 3 days to get to the island due to big waves and strong winds. When we got there, we were very excited and took many pictures" - Nguyen Phung said.

He hopes to return to Truong Sa soon because this place has many memories and emotions, and most of all, he wants to take many photos to introduce every angle of Truong Sa to the people. After his trip to Truong Sa, photographer Giang Son Dong took thousands of photos. Up to now, he has processed 500 photos, planning to have a solo exhibition or publish a photo book. "I want to go to Truong Sa again, because there are many topics to compose" - Giang Son Dong emphasized. Photographer Doan Hoai Trung - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association - highly appreciated the photo series that the three authors chose to exhibit. The images are rich, especially the spring colors in Truong Sa are very beautiful. Soldiers receive apricot branches, peach branches or banh chung from the mainland. "Natural, vivid images associated with daily life in the middle of the vast ocean. The photo series conveys the determination of soldiers on the island border, the affection of the people of the whole country for the soldiers of Truong Sa.
