Xelex Vietnam launches Latimer laptop and tablet models in the US market, reflecting Vietnam's growing capacity in the technology sector.

The Vietnam Trade Office in the United States said that, following the results of the Vietnam International Supply Chain Connection Exhibition - Vietnam International Sroucing 2024 organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in June 2024, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese Diplomatic Mission in the United States, the Trade Office and the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Technology Association, Xelex Vietnam Group has introduced Latimer laptops and tablets into the school system in Maryland, aiming to integrate AI into the Group's products and penetrate deeper into demanding markets like the United States.

Accordingly, on the morning of October 30 (local time), at Practical Technology Company, Maryland (USA), a product introduction of a laptop/tablet called Latimer designed and manufactured by Vietnam's Xelex Group took place.

This is a technological product combining American and Vietnamese creators, thereby reflecting Vietnam's growing capacity in the technology field.

According to reviews, this is a "2 in 1" Latimer laptop/tablet line with effective security features to ensure user safety, and has received a warm welcome from domestic businesses.

Mr. Nguyen Ai Huu - Chairman and General Director of Xelex Group - said that this product was launched after nearly 5 years of research.

In the near future, Xelex will bring Latimer brand products to the school system in Maryland, aiming to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its products and penetrate deeper into demanding markets like the United States.

Mr. Huu shared that Lewis Howard Latimer is the name of an American black scientist who owned many important patents during the industrialization period of the United States. Xelex and its partner in Maryland decided to name their computer/tablet product line Latimer to express their aspiration to excel in the technology field.

After many discussions with the Maryland state government, representatives of the Vietnam Trade Office in the United States and Xelex Group, the parties quickly developed a cooperation plan to promote attracting investment capital for equipment manufacturing in Vietnam as well as in Maryland.

The plan is part of a push by US President Joe Biden to invest in semiconductor manufacturing in the United States.

Attorney Gabriel Christian from GJC Law Office represented a Maryland business delegation to Vietnam to seek cooperation opportunities in training programs, and to call for the initiation of future investment sources and investment funds.

According to Mr. Gabriel, Latimer was designed and manufactured in Vietnam with contributions and cooperation from the United States. This is a computer line with very special AI features and security features, which are very important for public sector government organizations as well as private enterprises to help them access and benefit. The lawyer hopes that in the near future, Latimer can be manufactured right at the factory in the United States, with input materials from Vietnam. Lawyer Gabriel commented that this is a joint effort to optimize the best values, from which not only the United States but the whole world will benefit from Vietnamese technology.

He expressed his pride in becoming a partner of Xelex Group and wished to continue sustainable cooperation in the future.

The Maryland state government and Mr. Gabriel personally will work to connect the Latimer project with partners from the state's universities and communityeducation systems, thereby creating practical technologies that contribute to the prosperity of both Vietnam and the United States in the future.
