Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on July 26 that in the previous 24 hours, Russian forces had repelled a major tank attack by the Ukrainian army in the southern Ukrainian province of Zaporizhzhia, destroying 22 tanks, according to TASS news agency.

Meanwhile, Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, wrote on the Telegram messaging app on the evening of July 26 that Ukrainian forces had fired more than 90 rounds into populated areas of the region in the previous 24 hours, according to TASS news agency. He also wrote that there was no information about casualties or damage.

According to Mr. Shmyhal, the Ukrainian government has removed customs barriers to the import of spare parts and is now facilitating the mass production of ammunition for combat UAVs.

The US Department of Defense on July 25 announced a new $400 million security assistance package for Ukraine, including air defense missiles, armored vehicles and Black Hornet micro-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to Reuters.
The US does not support Ukraine's attack on Russian territory
This will be the first time the US has supplied Ukraine with Black Hornets, a microscopic reconnaissance drone manufactured by Teledyne FLIR Defense. The company said the Black Hornets are being used in Ukraine through aid from the British and Norwegian governments.
Additionally, the new arms aid package includes ammunition for the Patriot air defense system and the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASMS), the Stinger air defense system, additional ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), Stryker armored personnel carriers, and a variety of other missiles and rockets.

Chinese, Turkish foreign ministers discuss Ukraine?
Reuters quoted several informed sources as saying that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Ukraine with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Ankara on July 26.
Discussions between the two foreign ministers included the latest situation in Ukraine as well as the global financial system, according to a source from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
