On the afternoon of October 8, the Traffic Safety Committee of Dak Lak province confirmed that on the Buon Ho bypass (section through Buon Ho town, Dak Lak), a traffic accident had just occurred between a passenger bus (16 seats) and a truck, causing one death and many others to be seriously injured.
According to initial information, at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, a passenger bus with a Dak Lak license plate (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on Buon Ho bypass in the direction of Dak Lak - Gia Lai.
When reaching the middle of the bypass, the passenger bus suddenly collided with a Hanoi-licensed truck (driver unknown) traveling in the opposite direction. The collision resulted in one death on the spot and many passengers injured.
According to information from Thien Hanh Hospital (Buon Ma Thuot City), on the afternoon of October 8, the hospital received 13 victims in the accident between a passenger bus and a truck. Of these, 1 case died outside the hospital, 1 victim suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and 11 others are receiving intensive care.
"Among those hospitalized, there was also the driver of the 16-seat passenger bus. Many people suffered head and face injuries. The hospital is currently actively providing emergency care to the victims," said a representative of Thien Hanh Hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the traffic accident that left one person dead and 12 hospitalized.
