Previously, the province had an official dispatch agreeing on a plan to adjust traffic organization on coastal road DT 603B and road DT 619 (Vo Chi Cong road).
Specifically, section 1 includes DT 603B road from the border of Da Nang city to the beginning of Vo Chi Cong road and Vo Chi Cong road from the beginning of the route to Cua Dai bridge (Hoi An city, Quang Nam): Tractors pulling semi-trailers, unibody vehicles pulling trailers, trucks with a load capacity of over 10 tons are prohibited from circulating from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (to ensure safety and avoid noise affecting the tourism environment and people's lives).
Traffic is allowed from 10pm the previous day to 5am the next day, but the speed limit is not more than 50km/h.
Notably, section 2 from Vo Chi Cong Street from Cua Dai Bridge to National Highway 40B (Dien Hong slope, Tam Ky City) and section 3 of Vo Chi Cong Street from Dien Hong slope to DT 620 Road (intersection of the road to Chu Lai airport, Nui Thanh district) allow all vehicles to circulate.
Limit the speed of tractors pulling semi-trailers and monocoques pulling trailers to no more than 50km/h.

As Tuoi Tre Online reported, Vo Chi Cong Street running along the coast connecting Hoi An to Chu Lai was built spaciously and beautifully, but for a long time now, trucks of 5 tons or more have been banned, causing difficulties for many businesses, transport units, and people.
Many businesses located in industrial parks and clusters in Dien Ban town, Thang Binh district, Duy Xuyen and Da Nang city, although the road is next to the warehouse, still have to transport goods via National Highway 1, and cannot follow Vo Chi Cong axis to the South.
Explaining the ban on vehicles weighing 5 tons or more on Vo Chi Cong Street, the project investor said that some sections of the road are still under construction.
The lifting of the ban on vehicles weighing 5 tons or more, especially the section from Cua Dai bridge to Chu Lai airport allowing all vehicles to circulate, has made many businesses and transport units happy, especially in Chu Lai, which has a seaport system and many industrial parks.
According to records on March 2, many trucks weighing 5 tons or more were allowed to circulate on Vo Chi Cong Street, especially the section from Cua Dai Bridge to Chu Lai (Nui Thanh District), including tractor-trailers.
Mr. Phan Thanh Vy (a heavy truck driver) said that lifting the ban will create favorable conditions for vehicles transporting goods, minerals, and raw materials to circulate easily, saving transportation time, especially on the spacious and airy Vo Chi Cong route.
Many businesses also expressed their joy after the ban was lifted, saying that they would save time and transportation costs when going to the South of the province compared to going on National Highway 1 and the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway.
