Truck suddenly fell into a deep hole while driving on the road

On the evening of March 11, a representative of Phu Yen Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company said that they had fixed the pipeline leak that caused a truck running on the road to fall into a hole.

The incident caused the rear wheel of the truck to fall into the hole.

Earlier, at around 3 p.m. the same day, a truck carrying construction materials, BS 78C-052.64, with a load capacity of 14 tons, was traveling north-south on Le Duan Street. When it reached the end of Le Duan Street, the road surface suddenly collapsed, dragging the two rear wheels down. At this time, the driver quickly braked and opened the door to escape.

At the scene, the hole was about 2 meters in diameter and more than half a meter deep. The two rear wheels of the truck collapsed into the hole. The gaping hole was in the middle of the road, with water and many pieces of asphalt underneath.

Authorities were present at the scene to "rescue" the truck.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived at the scene, blocked off the road and diverted traffic to fix the problem.

A representative of Phu Yen Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company said that the cause of the truck falling into the hole was a leak in the water pipe on the road, causing the water to wash away the dirt and rocks. The heavy truck passed by and fell into the hole.

"The incident of the truck falling into the hole did not affect the city's water supply system. The unit has coordinated with the transport company to fix the above problem," a representative of Phu Yen Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company added.
