Passenger bus suddenly caught fire on Tra Khuc 2 bridge

When the driver discovered smoke and fire coming from the vehicle, he promptly stopped the vehicle and coordinated with the passengers to quickly evacuate. The passengers on the vehicle shouted for help and received timely support from drivers traveling in the same direction.

However, due to the strong and fast-spreading fire, the on-site forces could not control the fire. As a result, the body of the car and many of the equipment and luggage on the car were seriously damaged; fortunately, there were no human casualties.

Authorities quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire and assist passengers.

Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Thanh Hai - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) said that immediately after the fire broke out, the department quickly mobilized 2 fire trucks and 15 officers and soldiers to the scene to support fire fighting and damage recovery.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by authorities.
