16-seat passenger bus squeezes truck on Noi Bai – Lao Cai highway

On the afternoon of October 20, a clip appeared on social media recording the scene of a 16-seat passenger van suddenly squeezing a truck into the emergency lane on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway.

This clip quickly attracted many viewers and expressed their indignation at the bus driver's unsafe actions.

According to data in the clip, the incident occurred at 12:42 on October 19 on the Noi Bai – Lao Cai highway (2km from the intersection of National Highway 2B – IC4).

At this time, a closed-body truck was traveling when suddenly a 16-seat passenger van came at high speed, forcing the truck into the emergency lane of the highway.

Although the truck driver tried to swerve to the left to leave the emergency lane, the bus driver did not yield. The bus driver even braked hard and continued to swerve to the right to force the truck driver to stop.

On social media, Mr. Vuong Quoc Su said that the bus driver had recklessly overtaken, disregarding the lives of passengers on the bus and other road users.

Mr. Nguyen Son warns that when driving on the road, you need to stay calm, a little bit of competition can cause a terrible accident.

“I don’t know how many people were on the bus, but the driver was threatening the lives of other road users,” wrote Nguyen Son.

Regarding the above incident, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) said that after receiving the feedback, the unit will proceed to verify and clarify.
