VinFast electric cars are becoming more and more popular thanks to their super affordable cost

Dream of owning a car comes true with only 45 million VND

Sales in March 2025 recorded that VinFast continued to be the best-selling car brand in the Vietnamese market with 12,100 vehicles. At many dealerships, the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6 models attracted a large number of orders, not only in big cities but also becoming the top choice of customers in the provinces.

Having had a need and researched electric cars for a long time, however, Mr. Le Bao Long ( Nghe An ) did not think electric cars would become so popular so quickly in a midland and mountainous area like his hometown.

“ In recent months, VinFast electric cars have been running all over the streets. Charging stations have also appeared right in the town center and along major roads. If it weren’t for VinFast, I don’t know when I would have dared to buy a car ,” said Mr. Long, who just ordered a VinFast VF 3.

With a price of only 299 million VND, VinFast's minicar is very accessible even to middle-income households. Taking advantage of the attractive installment payment program, Mr. Long decided to borrow the maximum amount - 85% of the car's value. Thus, he only needs to pay 15% in advance.

“ It only takes about 45 million to have a new car for the whole family to use. Registration fees are free for electric cars, so the rolling cost is equivalent to the listed price, ” said Mr. Long. The good loan policy from VinFast is a great motivation for him to fulfill his dream of owning a car.

According to his research, other car models such as VF 5, VF 6… are also enjoying an installment loan policy of up to 80% of the car value – the best support level on the market.

As a business owner of car personalization services, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai ( Quang Ninh ) said that the demand from electric car owners is increasing rapidly with an increasing number of customers.

“ VinFast electric cars are easy to buy, easy to use, and popular very quickly. On average, out of 10 customers who come to my store, 4-5 people use VinFast cars ,” said Mr. Hai.

Save money on gas, enough money to pay installments

Not only can customers buy cars at good prices and with reasonable policies, VinFast electric car buyers are also entitled to free battery charging at V-Green charging stations nationwide until the end of June 2027 - meaning that for the next 2 years, users will not spend a penny on fuel when using the car.

Observers say the burden of “feeding” a car has been a barrier for many years because the cost of fueling has exceeded the “tolerance threshold” of many people. However, the ability to save money on electric vehicles, especially VinFast’s super special policies, has helped users confidently spend money to buy a car.

“ The biggest cost is fuel, which is free. Compared to the previous gasoline car I used, I saved about 4-5 million VND/month on fuel, which is just enough to cover the installment payment ,” said Mr. Hoang An (Bac Ninh) who decided to sell his B-class gasoline car to switch to VF 6.

Since changing his car, the biggest expense he has had to pay is maintenance - which is also much cheaper than a gasoline car because it does not need oil changes and has fewer wear parts. Specifically, VinFast electric cars only need maintenance every 12,000 km (twice as long as a gasoline car).

“ Both maintenances cost no more than VND500,000 each. Replacement parts for VinFast cars are readily available and cheap ,” said Mr. An.

This is also the opinion of many customers who are using VinFast electric vehicles and benefiting from the number 1 after-sales policy in the market of the Vietnamese car company. Currently, VinFast guarantees up to 7 years/160,000 km for VF 3, VF 5, VF 6 models - double that of gasoline vehicles in the same segment. Specifically, for VF 3, the incentive is 6 million VND; VF 5 is 10 million VND; VF 6 is 15 million VND... will be paid after the customer completes the license plate registration procedure.
