Previously, from around 3am to 10am on January 25, An Khe Pass also experienced a traffic jam that stretched for tens of kilometers. The congestion lasted until around 3:45pm the same day before it was completely cleared.

The cause of the traffic jam was due to the narrowing of the curve at Km61+300, which was under construction and the impact of the rainy weather, causing the embankment to become muddy, making it difficult for heavy trucks to move, stalling, and vehicles jostling each other, leading to chaos and congestion.
