Hanoi buses and metro transport millions of passengers during September 2nd holiday

The Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center has just announced the results of public passenger transport (PTT) activities serving the people during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Accordingly, from August 30 to September 3, buses served more than 6 million passengers with more than 89 thousand trips.

Notably, the two urban railway lines served more than 311,000 passengers, with more than 2,000 train trips, during the four-day holiday.

Specifically, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway route conducted 1,044 train runs, transporting more than 184,000 passengers.

The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway route conducted 1,000 train runs, transporting more than 127,000 passengers.

According to Mr. Thai Ho Phuong - Director of Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center, during the holiday, the public transport system in Hanoi operated stably, according to plan, ensuring safety and well meeting the travel needs of people.

Despite the holidays, the agency still maintains 3 inspection teams to monitor the operation of the public transport network on a rotating basis and coordinates with the units operating the public transport network according to plan, operating safely and according to the schedule. At the same time, it arranges staff to operate the call center and hotline to ensure timely support for passengers who need information consultation on public transport.
