On May 13, responding to VTC News reporters, a representative of Me Linh District Police (Hanoi) said that a bus had just caught fire while traveling through the area.
The bus was engulfed in flames.
At around 11:10 a.m. the same day, bus route 58 (Yen Phu - Thach Da) driven by driver TQH passed through Nam Cuong village, Tam Dong commune, Me Linh district. When the driver stopped to pick up and drop off passengers, he discovered that the back of the bus was on fire. Passengers panicked and left the bus.
The fire quickly engulfed the entire car, black smoke billowing.
The bus was burned down to the frame.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Me Linh District Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and 13 officers and soldiers to the scene. By 11:35, the fire was extinguished.
At the scene, the bus burned down, fortunately no one was injured.
