The police contacted the local Bureau of Heritage to ask experts to come and inspect the site. An archaeological team was sent to the site. After a thorough inspection, the archaeologists determined that the tomb dates back to the Tang Dynasty. In addition, they also found many ancient coins and some valuable artifacts inside the tomb.

30 antiques were discovered. Archaeologists found many ceramic vases, a tray with five ceramic bowls and an ancient inkstone. In particular, the ancient coins found were up to a thousand years old, worth from 1.6 million to 3.2 million yuan (5.2 billion to 10.5 billion VND).

After learning about the discovery, Mr. Truong's son applied for a reward from the local government. Local authorities said they would consider awarding Mr. Truong a reward after the archaeological excavation was completed.
