The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province said that preparations for the Festival of Performing Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Thanh Tuyen Festival 2024 are taking place vigorously, to ensure the event takes place safely, thoughtfully and attractively.
On the afternoon of August 16, in Hanoi, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province organized an international communication conference on the Festival of Performing Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the Tuyen Thanh Festival in 2024.

Attending the conference were leaders of a number of departments, branches, agencies, press, enterprises, districts and cities of Tuyen Quang province; delegates representing leaders of a number of central agencies and the Hanoi People's Committee; delegates representing embassies of several countries and international organizations in Hanoi; representatives of leaders and reporters of news agencies, press, media, Kols, Youtubers, Facebookers, Tiktokers; and representatives of domestic and foreign tourism and travel businesses.
Speaking here, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong said that in 2024, the province will organize many unique and attractive cultural, sports and tourism activities, which are carefully and meticulously prepared, such as: Festival to perform representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity and Thanh Tuyen Festival.
With the theme "The Quintessence Convergence and Shining", the program of the Festival to display the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity and the opening of Thanh Tuyen Festival in 2024 is chaired by the province in close coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the provinces: Tra Vinh, Dak Nong, Phu Yen, Thua Thien Hue and Bac Ninh.
According to Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, this is an extremely important and meaningful event, aiming to enhance exchanges, promote, introduce and spread the values of intangible cultural heritages representing humanity in Vietnam and around the world to a large number of people and tourists.
The main content of this program is the participation and performance of cultural heritages of Vietnam and other countries that have been recognized by UNESCO as representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, including: Don ca tai tu; Bai choi art; Hue royal court music; Gong cultural space; Bac Ninh folk songs, Then singing, Tinh lute (of Vietnam).
It is expected that the program will have about two heritages from Korea, Japan or suitable countries and international organizations participating along with special art performances by famous Vietnamese singers and artists.
In addition, this year's Thanh Tuyen Festival with the theme "Colorful Thanh Tuyen Festival" will have the participation of many children and famous Vietnamese artists and singers.
In particular, the program includes a parade with over 60 giant, sparkling, colorful mid-autumn lantern models, selected from competitions in Tuyen Quang city and districts in the province.
On this occasion, many provincial-level activities such as the 2024 Tuyen Quang Province Ethnic Culture and Sports Festival; Exchange and performance of representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; "Cinema with Tuyen" program; Tuyen Quang Province Trade and Tourism Fair; "Display and introduction of Vietnamese culinary quintessence" program and Hanoi Beer Festival; sports competitions... also promise to bring people and tourists special emotions and impressions when coming to Tuyen Quang.

After 20 years of formation and development, Thanh Tuyen Festival has become an outstanding cultural event, an attractive destination, attracting the attention of many people and domestic and international tourists.
The festival has been awarded three Guinness Vietnam records by the National Record Council: "Mid-Autumn Festival with the largest number of lantern models in Vietnam", "Largest Mid-Autumn Festival tray in Vietnam", "Largest pair of lanterns in Vietnam". The festival has increasingly affirmed itself as an outstanding cultural event, a unique, distinctive, attractive and exclusive tourism product of Tuyen Quang.
2024 is the second year that Tuyen Quang province has implemented the Project to innovate the organization of Thanh Tuyen Festival in the period of 2023-2025, with the key goal of building and developing the Festival into a national brand tourism product and reaching out to the international market.
Introducing and exchanging with delegates attending the conference, the provincial leaders affirmed that Tuyen Quang strives to become a fairly developed, comprehensive and sustainable province in the Northern mountainous region by 2025, and at the same time invite domestic and foreign investors to explore investment cooperation opportunities and exploit the potential and strengths of local tourism.
The Festival of Performing Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Thanh Tuyen Festival 2024 will take place from the end of August to September 14 in the city and districts of Tuyen Quang province. Specifically: The Festival of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity will take place from 8:10 p.m. on September 13, 2024 (Friday) at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Tuyen Quang City; broadcast live on Tuyen Quang Provincial Radio and Television, Tuyen Quang Online Newspaper and local Radio and Television stations across the country. The Thanh Tuyen Night Festival will be held from 8:10 p.m. on September 14 (Saturday, August 12 of the lunar calendar), at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Tuyen Quang city; broadcast live by Vietnam Television on VTV1 channel. |
