Building smart tourism software in Son La province

On the afternoon of April 3, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with IGB Hanoi Joint Stock Company on the implementation of smart tourism software development in Son La province.

At the meeting, IGB Hanoi Joint Stock Company introduced the solution for developing smart software at the provincial level, digitized items, including: Digitizing tourist destinations; indigenous culture; traditional products; resort tourism and culinary tourism destinations. Updating the software features is carried out in 3 phases. Phase 1, digitizing location data; phase 2, digital commerce; phase 3, digital management and statistics, digital reporting.

After agreeing on some issues of exploitation and sponsorship, representatives of IGB Hanoi Joint Stock Company and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a cooperation agreement to develop the Son La Tour smart tourism software running on the website platform, Android and iOS platforms for a period of 2 years. The software was upgraded by the Enterprise 6 months from the date of handover. Previously, the Enterprise also sponsored Moc Chau town to build Moc Chau Tour software and Quynh Nhai district to deploy Quynh Nhai tour software.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan emphasized: Since the beginning of the term, Son La province's tourism has been developing strongly, gradually affirming its position and important role in the overall planning of Vietnam's tourism development. However, digital transformation of Son La province's tourism is still limited due to resource difficulties. Therefore, the signing of a cooperation agreement to develop Son La Tour smart tourism software will contribute significantly to supporting Son La province in promoting digital transformation in the tourism sector. Comrade Trang Thi Xuan assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with enterprises, provide data and documents on Son La tourism, speed up the progress of software development and put it into operation soon. At the same time, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the software after it is put into operation; study and propose a plan to use the software after the end of the sponsorship period./.
