Building and replicating advanced models and examples in the movement of All People Protecting National Security

On July 28, at Son La Provincial Police, the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to exchange experiences and commend advanced models and examples in the movement of All People Protecting National Security in the Northwest and neighboring ethnic minority areas, period 2018 - 2023.

Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Central Steering Committee for the implementation of the movement for the protection of national security chaired the Conference. Also attending were comrades: Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee; Tran Thi Hoa Ry, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council; Major General Trang A Tua, Director of the Department for Building the Movement for the Protection of National Security, Ministry of Public Security; Major General Nguyen Ngoc Van, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Son La Provincial Police; representatives of the leaders of the Public Security of provinces and cities and 79 advanced delegates from 14 provinces in the Northwest region and neighboring areas.

In the period of 2018-2023, in the ethnic minority areas of the Northwest and neighboring regions, 863 models of the All-people movement to protect national security and order have been built with 45,981 model points in many areas and fields. Many models, typically bright spots, shining examples in the direction of self-management, self-prevention, self-protection, self-reconciliation, with high socialization, have been widely accepted, agreed to support and actively participated in by the people. Typical models include: "Self-managed inter-family group on national security and order", "Club to reform, educate and help people who have made mistakes to integrate into the community" of Son La province; "Self-managed religious group point on national security and order", "Nà Tấu area security and order linkage cluster, Dien Bien Phu city" of Dien Bien province; "Security key chain", "Purely religious activity point ensuring national security and order in Giàng Ly Cha village" of Lai Chau province; "Self-managed border and boundary marker groups", "Self-managed families on security and order" of Lao Cai province... contribute to effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; consolidating the political system, protecting security and order at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, informed: From 2018 to now, Son La province has directed the construction of 48 models in many localities and fields related to security and order assurance, with a large scope of influence, replicated at 26,558 locations across the province. Some typical models have been announced by the Ministry of Public Security for units and localities to refer to and learn from.

He emphasized: This conference is an opportunity for Son La province to study and learn good and creative practices of provinces and cities in the Northwest region and neighboring areas in building advanced models and examples. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Son La Public Security to inspect and comprehensively evaluate the work of advising and guiding the building of advanced models and examples in ethnic minority areas, in order to further improve the work of building the movement of All People Protecting National Security in the coming time; continue to advise the provincial leaders to maintain political stability, social order and safety, ensuring the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals in 2023 and the following years.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, requested the Public Security of the Northwestern and neighboring provinces to continue to advise and coordinate to promote propaganda work to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, organizations and people for the work of building and replicating advanced models and typical examples in the movement of All people protecting national security.

Research and build new models in the direction of increasing socialization; focus on building self-management, self-prevention, self-protection, and self-reconciliation from families to residential communities, agencies, units, businesses, and educational institutions.

The Department of Movement Building and Homeland Security Protection continues to coordinate research, advise and propose the completion of theoretical and legal bases, leadership, direction and coordination mechanisms, and conditions to ensure the construction and replication of advanced models and typical examples; policies and mechanisms for participants in models and typical examples if they are injured, sacrificed, or suffer property damage while participating in crime prevention and control, social evils, and ensuring security and order at the grassroots level...

In recognition of the above achievements, the Ministry of Public Security awarded certificates of merit to 22 collectives and 61 individuals with achievements in the movement of the People's Protection of National Security in the ethnic minority areas in the Northwest and neighboring regions, period 2018 - 2023.
