Building 162 Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households in the first 6 months of 2024

It is known that in the first 6 months of 2024, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels received support from agencies, units, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province with an amount of over 10 billion VND. From this fund, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province allocated support to build and repair 162 Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households with real housing difficulties, with a total value of 9.7 billion VND.

For the "Relief" Fund in 2023, the cumulative increase is 1.7 billion VND. Implementing the Social Security Program, organizing the reception and distribution of over 96,500 Tet gifts for poor households, near-poor households, policy families, and people in difficult circumstances with a total value of over 31.7 billion VND. Implementing Project 384, the goal is to build 500 Great Solidarity houses for poor households and policy families in 2024, and so far 147 houses have been built.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province, highly appreciated the work of mobilizing, managing and using fund sources, as well as the implementation of Project 384 in the past time. Mr. Le Van Binh emphasized that in the coming time, the system of Fatherland Fronts at all levels and member organizations need to continue to promote the achieved results with high determination to achieve and exceed the goals and targets set in the plan for 2024.

In which, promoting the proactive role in performing tasks, especially in advising the Party Committee, coordinating with the government to improve the quality of program implementation, promoting propaganda work, diversifying forms of advocacy, mobilizing resources to care for the poor, effectively implementing Project 384, especially strengthening the inspection and supervision of the management, use and allocation of resources, creating conditions for people to participate and make positive contributions to poverty reduction in the locality.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province needs to report and advise the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province to assign the task of sponsoring poor households to escape poverty in 2024 to units and localities. Sectors, localities, Fatherland Fronts at all levels and member organizations need to focus on implementing Decision 840 of the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province on promulgating a plan to implement the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" in Ninh Thuan province.
