Green SM launches electric taxi service in Indonesia

On December 18, GSM Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (“GSM”) officially launched the Green SM electric taxi service in Indonesia. This is the third country where Green SM is present after Vietnam and Laos. By providing smart and environmentally friendly mobility solutions, Green SM affirms its determination to conquer one of the most potential ride-hailing markets in Southeast Asia and promote the green transformation globally.

The opening ceremony was held in the capital city of Jakarta with the participation of Dr. Riyatno - Deputy Minister in charge of Investment Environment Development, Ministry of Investment and Downstream Indonesia (BKPM), Mr. Ta Van Thong - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Indonesia, Mr. Denny Abdi - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam, Mr. Tatan Rustandi - Secretary of the Board of Directors of the General Department of Roads, Ministry of Transport , representatives of the city government, representatives of the Embassies of Laos, Uzbekistan, East Timor, Serbia, India, Sri Lanka in Indonesia, and nearly 100 strategic partners of Xanh SM in this country.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - General Director of GSM Global delivered a welcome speech at the opening event of Green SM in Indonesia.

Vietnam's first pure electric taxi company will immediately start operating in the Indonesian market to meet the increasing travel demand during the New Year 2025.
