On June 17, information from the Quang Ninh Department of Transport said that the unit is coordinating with the Ha Long Bay Management Board to verify the case of a tourist boat leaving tourists on Ti Top Island.

Previously, a Facebook account posted "disastrous travel experience, leaving guests on Ti Top Island and leaving without checking on them, no missed calls, waited 30 minutes at the dock but no boat, called the phone number on the bracelet but it was busy...".
Verifying the case of a tourist boat leaving passengers behind in Ha Long Bay
According to initial information from the authorities, on June 16, the tourist boat QN 926x carried 99 passengers to Ti Top Island. When picking up the passengers back to the boat, due to the large number of passengers at that time, the boat could not find the passengers, could not pick them back up to the boat, so the boat turned back.

Afterwards, the cruise line arranged another vehicle from the same unit to pick up the forgotten passengers to return later.
However, after the incident, the tourists did not inform the Inland Waterways Port Authority on duty at the port. In addition, the Ha Long Bay Management Board also confirmed that it had not received any feedback from the tourists about the incident.
The incident was only confirmed after the information was posted on social media. Immediately after receiving the information, the ship owner and captain apologized to the tourists.
Authorities are verifying and making a record of the incident for handling according to regulations.
